Specific responsibilities include:

• Primary responsibility is to support a variety of customer requests through phone or ticket queues.  Including site set-ups/modifications, email, DNS, DNR, and other general issue resolutions.  This role is mainly a support role.  90% or more of your daily acitivies will be supporting customers.
• Responsible for Internet Server Administration. This includes new server configuration, web site activations, and overall management of web site and application hosting services.
• Provide support for email and exchange servers, backup solutions, DNS and domains.
• Actively help manage ticket queues and answer customer support phone calls to ensure timely resolutions of all issues.
• Handle a large volume of support tickets on a daily basis.
• Provide support to VPS, Dedicated Server, and colocation customers, including server set-up and updating, racking servers in data center, server reboots or other issue resolutions. 
• Handling on-call support for evenings and weekends on a regular interval, including working Saturdays approximately once a month.

Required Experience:

• Minimum 3 years experience in Windows and/or Linux server administration.
• Minimum 1 years experience with Microsoft IIS / Cpanel.
• Minimum 1 years experience with Microsoft SQL Server / MySQL.
• Experience taking support phone calls and working with ticket support system.
• Ability to set-up new Windows/Linux servers on new hardware.
• Must have strong communication skills.
• Bachelors degree or similar in computer science suggested
• A strong belief in customer service and a “Do whatever it takes” positive attitude!

Additional experience that would be helpful, though not required:

• Experience in a fast paced customer service/support environment with a hosting company or similar business
• Backup Exec software experience

Our data center hosts over 12,000 unique web sites, internet applications, and other internet related servers. We provide services for a variety of technologies including Microsoft, Unix/Linux, Cold Fusion, PHP/MySQL, and others as required by our client base.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

• Responsible for the operation and functionality of the data center core network and ensuring 100% uptime. This includes security, network cabling, recommending hardware and software solutions, and monitoring systems.
• Responsible for existing and future switches, routers and firewalls and assisting colocation customers by providing bandwidth to their cabinets and ensuring 100% uptime to the cabinet.
• Will work closely with customer support group and sales department in providing colocation solutions.
• Involvement in power distribution and monitoring by assiting others in the group with management of the power systems as a secondary responsibility.

Required Experience:

• Extensive knowledge of Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls. Should understand Cisco product line very well.
• CCNA Certification CCNP Certiciation required or must be obtained within 1 year of start date.
• Cisco PIX firewall configuration Experience in TCP/IP, Routing, and BGP
• Able to capture and study network data for troubleshooting
• Good understanding of NAT and firewall rules implemenation.
• Demonstrated ability to implement spanning tree protocols.
• Experience implementing and building tracking, analysis, and metric tools for monitoring network performance and health.
• Basic knowledge of power ditribution concepts
• Must have strong communication skills and at least 5 years experience with networking technologies.
• Bachelors degree or similar in computer science prefered.

• Provide user support for Level 3 support issue escalations.  Handle a reasonable volume of support tickets on a daily basis in addition to other responsiblities.
• Implement large scale hosting projects involving the latest technologies and extensize automation.  Specifically, large virtualized solutions using VMWare virtual servers and back-end SAN data storage, ie Cloud environments.
• Research, evaluate, recommend, and implement tools, and solutions that help to improve the efficiency and reliability of our server operations.
• Handling on-call support for evenings and weekends on a regular interval.

Required Experience:

• Minimum 8 years experience in Windows and/or Linux server administration.
• Minimum 5 years experience with Microsoft IIS / Cpanel.
• Minimum 3 years experience with Microsoft SQL Server / MySQL.
• Experience setting up SAN data storage with front end virtual servers.
• Experience working with VMWare ESX server.
• Must have strong communication skills and at least 5 years experience with server and networking technologies.

LogicalSolutions.net is looking for a Certified VMWare Contractor for Initial Setup and Administration of VMWare Private Environments.  Responsible for setting up and configuring new VMWare Server Configurations, using VSphere, VMotion and SAN Technologies.  Testing and Configuring of new Highly Available VMWare Environments.  Virtual Server Configuration of new Clients, and Migration of Current Virtual Machines to new Environments. 

Required Experience:
-Demonstrable experience designing, planning, and implementing complex virtualized solutions for customers.
-In depth system engineering experience involving server and storage technologies and services solutions at an enterprise level for IT solutions.
-Demonstrable experience managing and troubleshooting complex and large scale virtualized computing environments.

Certifications Required:
-CCA, CCEA, and MCSE strongly preferred.
-VMware Certified Professional (VCP) (V4 preferred)
