Setting up an SMTP AUTH with Microsoft Vista Mail
This guide details how to setup an SMTP AUTH with Vista Mail using SMTP Auth.
  1. First open up Windows Mail.
  2. Next click on the "Tools" menu at the top of the window then select "Accounts...".

  3. Now click once on your mail account in the main part of the window and then click the "Properties" button.

  4. The properties for this mail account will now appear in a new window. Now click on the "Servers" tab.

  5. Tick the box at the bottom of this window labeled "My server requires authentication". Then click on the "Settings..." button to open the SMTP Auth properties.

  6. Make sure that the "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" is checked, this will grey out all other options on this window as shown below. When done click "OK" to close this window.

  7. Click "OK" to all open windows until you are back at the main Vista Mail window. Your email account should now be setup correctly for SMT AUTH on our servers.

After finishing the wizard, try and send a test email out. If you are still having problems, try restarting your Outlook or even your computer before asking for support.
